ALEXANDER AGOPOVICH

Chief Development Officer

Was raised in the United States and The Netherlands and is bilingual in English and Dutch. His education credentials include a B.S. in Biology, an M.B.A. with emphasis in Management, and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, he worked at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide for seven years. In 2001 he started his own consulting firm, which specializes in fundraising and development for educational and non-profit organizations. He has experience in donor and alumni relations, stewardship, marketing and communication programs, large and small fundraising events, and creating strategic social media opportunities in an ever-changing electronic age. He has a strong work ethic and emphasizes attention to detail. He enjoys working with disadvantaged populations.

He has served two terms as president of the Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) Alumni Association. During his tenure as president, the alumni association saw increased event participation, social media presence and enhanced communications to the entire alumni population. He started the alumni travel programs and was also successful in enhancing and expanding exterior relationships as well as helping realize gifts and donations to the University. He also enjoys volunteering with the San Francisco & Second Harvest Food Banks.
